What Men Really Want for Valentines Day

Happy CoupleYou’re probably thinking of the most obvious answer to this question, and yes it’s true that’s all it would take to make most any man happy on Valentines Day.

Even though many men might consider a romantic night to be a gift, let’s just say that it’s a given on Valentines Day and look some other gifts that might your man happy.

Obviously you need to consider the type man he is before you can find a great Valentines Day gift.

You wouldn’t go buy a beautiful gold watch for a man who spends all his free time hunting and fishing. Nor should you buy camo gear or a fishing pole for a man who has no desire to leave the city.

Dive into the heart of your man to find out what gets his adrenalin pumping and there is where you’ll find the perfect Valentines Day gift, no matter how unusual it may seem.

Granted there are some, but most men really aren’t into the whole romance aspect of Valentines Day. Therefore while your traditional candy, flowers, or a nice diner out may seem “appropriate” for Valentines Day, if you really want to have your love reciprocated go off the deep end with your Valentines Day gift selection.

Sure you’re likely to get a half hearted – even though they’re really trying to sell it–loving response to your standard gift, something that speaks directly to your mans heart, and not necessarily yours is going to bring you the reaction and the action that you really want to get out of him – for a change.

Let’s look at few ideas that might help you get your thoughts going. The man who lives for business is a tough one. The latest technology is always good idea for these types. Maybe something like the newest laptop computer he’s been talking about or it could be that gold watch we spoke of earlier.

If your man is a car nut you might research that project in the garage he spends all his time on and get him the carburetor he needs to make it go.

The best Valentines Day gift is the one your man is going to brag about to his friends. Vacation getaways will definitely accomplish this but not if you book that romantic bed and breakfast on the coast, unless there’s a fishing trip included.

You can find the best of both worlds in a getaway gift if you make sure to include just one day dedicated to an activity or event that gets his blood pumping, even if you’re not including yourself in that activity or event.

Let him go off on his own for the day while you go shopping or relax at the spa. You’ll both get what you want that day and especially that evening. Like I mentioned you can have your romantic bed and breakfast weekend as long there’s a NASCAR Race, hunting for fishing outing, football, baseball or other sporting event, car show, boat show, you name it as long as it his passion involved.

Think outside the box ladies. I mean it, your Valentines Day does not have to come in a wrapped box. Sometimes services performed are a unique and fun idea he will love.

It could be as simple as hiring the neighbor kid to mow the lawn for summer – especially your guy just dreads this chore – to something completely unique like having his pet hot rod project completed by a professional. Just be careful not overstep your bounds.

If his passion is actually working on the car and not actually having it completed so he can drive it around then you could be setting up a bad idea. On the other hand if his passion is simply to have a completed project that he can show off then this would be a wonderful gift. Again knowing what makes him tick is the key.

Although Valentines Day is for Lovers, sometimes – especially when it comes to men – the gift that seems to have nothing what so ever to do with love will bring more “Amore” than you could ever imagine.

Don’t be afraid to shop at places like the hardware, auto parts, electronics, or sporting goods store, not to mention the travel agency or service directory. Men can love, and they can also come to love Valentines Day if you are the type of woman who can make this day about them as much as it is all about you.

Then just imagine what He is going to have to for You…next year!
